Ingredients: Makes one shake
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 small ripe banana
- 1 large or 2 small pitted dates
- 1 tbsp natural coconut flakes
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp sun butter
- 1 tsp honey
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend to desired consistency.
Substitutions: You can substitute any kind of “milk” as your liquid. I’ve also used a blend of coconut/almond milk when making this shake. If you don’t have dates on hand, try dried figs. Rolled or steel cut oats can take the place of hemp seeds and any kind of nut butter would work. Honey can be omitted if you like your morning shakes to be a little less sweet.
