These little nuggets of flavor are easy to make and great to have on hand! They add spice, texture and protein to all kinds of dishes including soups and salads. They also serve as a delicious and healthy snack food.
- 16 oz can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
- 1/4 tsp each: cumin, turmeric, paprika, red pepper flake and dried cilantro
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Directions: Heat olive oil in small sauté pan. Add chickpeas and season with spices, salt and pepper. Sauté to desired crispiness (5 minutes as pictured).
